Personal finance
for the life you want

This is not about our products and services, or even your money; we're here to help you plan and secure the life you want to live.

We offer advice across all the areas you’d expect — pensions, retirement planning, long-term care, savings and investments, family services, protection and insurance. And yes, we have a dedicated mortgage advice team.

But our real focus is you. We want to support you as your family grows, look ahead to opportunities on your financial horizon and be there to guide you as each new stage of life unfolds.

Mortgages and Protection

Found your forever home? We understand how that feels, and what it takes to turn your dream into a solid, secure and lasting reality.

For your home, with peace of mind

Found your forever home? We understand how that feels, and what it takes to turn your dream into a solid, secure and lasting reality.

Banks and building societies can only offer a limited range of mortgages, and some mortgage advisers are also tied to preferred partners. By contrast, we’re fully independent, so we can search the whole market for the mortgage that’s right for you, at the best possible interest rate. Your best option might not even be a mortgage. We can advise you on alternative ways to finance your property purchase.

We’ll liaise with lenders, estate agents and solicitors on your behalf, keep you up to date with progress and help reduce frustrating delays. We have a network of trusted partners we can approach on your behalf for quotes, for example, conveyancing from solicitors who’ve been highly recommended by clients before you.

Your home may be repossessed if you do not keep up repayments on your mortgage.

Thinking the unthinkable

It’s your home for life, and we’re here to keep it safe. That means being ready for those things most of us prefer not to think about…

What if your home became uninhabitable?

We track down the best possible buildings & contents insurance, tailored to suit your property and belongings, so life can return to normal with as little fuss as possible.

What if you lost your income?

We’ll never recommend cover you don’t need, but if a loss of income would prevent you paying your mortgage then we’ll find the most appropriate mortgage & income insurance, to maintain your standard of living until your situation improves.

What if you became seriously ill?

No one likes to think about it, but if you were to become seriously ill, mortgage payments are the last thing you should worry about. As your financial planning partner we’ll be able to judge what’s right for you in terms of critical illness cover and life assurance.

Pensions and Investments

This is a lot more exciting than it sounds. We’re talking about hopes and dreams — everything you want life to be for you and your family.

For your hopes and dreams

Pensions and investments? We’re really talking about your big all-time wish list — everything you want life to be for you and your family.

As your financial planning partners we can help you get a clear picture of your long-term goals and work with you to see them through, drawing on the full range of products available in the market.

Please Note: The value of pensions and investments can fall as well as rise, and you could get back less than you invested.

Helping you at every stage of life

New arrival

It can be difficult to see how you can save for a new future when you’ve just increased your outgoings massively. We can help you find the best way to tackle the present and plan ahead, for example with life assurance and saving for school fees.

School days

We all want to do the best for our children. Whether that means paying for private education or moving into a better catchment area, we can help you to explore your options then invest appropriately.

University challenge

It’s not uncommon for students to graduate with tens of thousands of pounds in debt, but if you start early it may not cost as much as you think to help them leave university in the black.

Property ladder

You can help your children get a foothold on the property ladder, and even if they don’t need your help, we can ensure they get the mortgage rate and flexibility to suit their circumstances.

Bank of Gran

Increasingly, grandparents are contributing to their grandchildren’s education. There may even be tax benefits, but you need to make sure your own needs are looked after in later life too.

Retirement you deserve

Growing up shouldn’t mean giving up on the things you wished for when you were young. Our pension advice and retirement planning is about helping you to enjoy the retirement you’ve earned.

Later life

Increased life expectancy means increased costs for later life care. It’s tempting to put off thinking about later life, but you’ll also want the best possible care if your health begins to decline. Find out more about later life planning

Later Life Planning

If you’re in the thick of working life then you probably won’t be thinking about your later years. But now is the time to act.

Later Life Planning

For a life fulfilled

If you’re in the thick of working life then you probably won’t be thinking about your later years. But now is the time to act. And if you’re retired or coming up to retirement, we’ll need to act quickly.

We can make it easy to prepare for your potential needs in later life. We take a pragmatic approach based on our own experiences, so you can have those conversations that we understand nobody finds comfortable.

It can be easier if you start by considering your parents’ situation. From there you can begin to take appropriate action, investing specifically for later life while starting to make advance decisions about the kind of care you’d prefer, and who you’d trust to make decisions for you.

We’ll help make sure you have access to any funding to which you’re entitled, including continuing healthcare provision and contributions that form part of fairer charge schemes. And we can help you find an efficient way to finance any shortfall in care funding, including one-off purchase of rest-of-life care.

We stay abreast of the latest guidelines and policies on later life care, and have close relationships with professionals across the sector, including social services, independent mental health advocates, estate planning services and not-for-profit organisations such as the Society of Later Life Advisers.

Your approach was excellent and thought provoking — exactly what’s needed when making life changing decisions.
