Name: Neil Haley
Job Role: Senior Partner and Independent Financial Adviser
What inspired you to set up Furnley House?
Myself, John and Stefan were running our own individual businesses and it soon became clear that by sharing ideas and best practices we could become more efficient and provide better outcomes for our clients. Although Furnley House has grown at a rapid rate over the last few years we have kept to our values every step of the way.
What are you most likely to be doing day to day?
Predominantly looking after the finances of my existing clients. As a member of SOLLA (Society Of Later Life Advisers) I am also active in the area of financial planning in later life. I have a good working relationship with a firm of local solicitors who contact me for help with some of their clients.
As a Director and Shareholder of Furnley House I am also involved in the strategic decisions and future direction of the business.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
Having known most of my clients for many years, it is very rewarding to help them to achieve their goals and aspirations. Tax planning forms an important part of my advice, so it is always good to help clients avoid paying unnecessary tax.
What do you like to do when you aren’t at work?
Whilst I am family-orientated, I do manage to find some time to follow sports and am a member at Kirby Muxloe Golf Club.
